Behind the Veil Part 1 of 2 (7:15-9:15 pm)
This workshop concentrates on intermediate veil technique, and introduces the skills necessary to dance with two veils. Technique includes veils throws, recovery of veils, turns, fun poses and more! A fun all body workout, focusing on correct posture, upper body and arm strength. Dancing with double veils is magical, beautiful, mesmerising and elegant, your veils being your floating dance partners.
This is a two part series which will be performed in Orlando at a sister studio hafla.
Entry requirement: some previous experience of veils helpful.
WHAT YOU NEED
Two veils – She recommends silk or imitation silk semi-circle cut. But any veils will work! The effects will be slightly different depending on weight and size. Bring a pair of socks or dance shoes for spinning.
Here’s a tip! Take GINGER before class to reduce dizziness during turns!
Cost
Cost of the workshop is $45 and must be paid in advance.
