About our Artist
Shaira Amon is an Arabian professional dancer and an Arabian dance teacher and instructor of the CIAD (Confederacion Interamericana de la Danza), which means Inter-American Dance Confederation) and The Arabian Dance School. Born in Argentina, she started belly dancing at a very young age by the best representatives of the Arabian Dance. She is now the qwner and founder of Shaira Amon Dance Studio BellyMusic and RaksVoyage.
Shaira has worked as a model in important fashion shows of international designers and featured in TV Shows in Lebanon 2011 as a belly dance performer.
Participated in photo productions by Mike Mercau and worked for the singer Tarek Al Atrash as the model for his musical video clip in Dubai 2013 and hired as dancer for the Embassy of Lebanon, Egypt, Bahrain and United Arabs Emirates Royal Family. She is also an model and chosen for the International Photographers Festival as a Model in Dubai 2016. She has also won numerous awards including:
-Festival of the Nile 2024
– Best Argentine Arabian Dancer Prize in Sheraton Hotel of Cordoba city by the Argentine Federation of Dance Professionals and the CIAD member in that time of the CID, UNESCO.
– Awarded with the Artistic Merit of Honors Medal works as a teacher and dancer.
– Recognized as Promise Teacher for constant search of providing a higher level of dance education.
– Winner more than two hundred gold medals and prizes given by the CIAD, among them, Best Dancer and Breakout Dancer in the states of Mendoza and Tucuman.
– Recognized as Distinguished Citizen in the state of Cordoba
– Winner in 2016 Latina Middle East Beauty Contest in Dubai.
– 2016 – 2017 Awarded as Best Choreographer and Best Instructor by BAILARTE DANCE S COMPETITION in Cordoba City

With the opening of S.A.I.D Dance (Shaira Amon Dance Institute) Shaira Amon, organized and produced events recognized at Cultural, Provincial and National, in addition to bringing great dance figures from around the world.

Behind the Veil Part 1 of 2 (7:15-9:15 pm)
This workshop concentrates on intermediate veil technique, and introduces the skills necessary to dance with two veils. Technique includes veils throws, recovery of veils, turns, fun poses and more! A fun all body workout, focusing on correct posture, upper body and arm strength. Dancing with double veils is magical, beautiful, mesmerising and elegant, your veils being your floating dance partners.
This is a two part series which will be performed in Orlando at a sister studio hafla.
Entry requirement: some previous experience of veils helpful.
WHAT YOU NEED
Two veils – She recommends silk or imitation silk semi-circle cut. But any veils will work! The effects will be slightly different depending on weight and size. Bring a pair of socks or dance shoes for spinning.
Here’s a tip! Take GINGER before class to reduce dizziness during turns!
